Greenfield Lake in Wilmington, North Carolina. This morning’s warm rain caused an eerie mist to float above the lake’s surface. The Spanish moss and green haze make a romantic southern vista, or the perfect setting for some Swamp Thing to suddenly appear. Someone should shoot a horror movie here. These pics were taken with a cell phone, so forgive the poor quality.

mmmm, I love the lake! The mist is so awesome. Unfortunately, I can also remember the wet, warm humidity that goes along with it. lol We have true PNW fog here today…came in yesterday late in the afternoon; the clouds fell to the ground and rose this morning just enough to sprinkle us with cool drizzle of rain. It’s about 56 degrees – the humidity is falling out of the sky.
Your phone takes great pictures, by the way. Those look so Autumny. I totally expect to see the Swamp Thing!
a very nice lake, I like that southern swamp.
Wow, I live here and I certainly don’t think they’re poor quality. You’re right, definitely the place for a horror movie.
