Robot Hearts: Call for Submissions

paper planeI’m co-editing the anthology Robot Hearts: Twisted and True Tales of Seeking Love in the Digital Age with Cara Bruce. While I haven’t dated since 1995 (when I met my darling husband) and didn’t date much before that (punk rock makes you socially retarded), I live vicariously through other peoples’ stories. Submission guidelines are here. Thanks to my friend Tony Mech for the cute robot image.

Hi, are you interested in submissions from outside the US ?

    Yes, absolutely!

    O.K.,

I know we’re both busy people… but something as monumental as re-connecting with Cara and starting an effing publishing company with her?

Umm, I seem to recall that I dialed you *last,* betch!

Not only is the premise of your anthology rad, but I’m also still licking my wounds from a 9 month long relash that came about from–you guessed it–interaction on the interwebz.

First time I’ve ever donated a shitload of belongings to friends and charities to make room for someone, let alone “let in” in that peel-my-ribcage-back-and-ask-”So-Which-Chamber-Is-It-That-You-Want” type of way.

Natch, the ending was a disastrophe.

If it were anything else, it wouldn’t be my life; now would it?

Oh, and P.S.: Something I can’t mention in a public forum (or at least *shouldn’t*, ya naw mean?) that I’m almost certain will be of interest to you.

Oooh! And just thought of a second thing, as well…

Dial me up with the phrase that pays:

    “Manic Millennials”

(I’ve found it essential to give these verbal/virtual “Post-It”s in my old age.)

    But, seriously though…

    ;D

P.S. As always, Tony’s illustration is adorable.

P.P.S. As always, further proof that my luck with technology sucks with sharp fangs:

I signed up for a friggin’ “GRAVATAR” like, a zillion years ago. What’s this shite about it ‘Following Me Everywhere’?

Uhhm, no. That’d be my unfortunate luck, known among The Children as #FAIL.
(“Hashtag” for Warm Twitterettes — despite the fact I’m still not quite sure what a “hashtag” is…)

    Aiight,
    ENOUGH!

    For now. ;D

    Love your guts, Shawna Jean!
