What Clients Say:

Working with Shawna to edit both my non-fiction book proposal and manuscript was invaluable. Her edits enhanced my memoir while staying true to my voice, and she was reliable and encouraging through the entire process.

Paria Hassouri, author of Found in Transition

Shawna offers incredible insights, astute and supportive feedback. It was a absolute gift to work intimately with her as I found my way through draft after draft. I recommended new writers have a trusted coach. Someone who not only holds the story with you, offering supportive and insightful feedback on early pages, but who also keeps you accountable to goals and deadlines. That person is Shawna.

Tembi Locke, author of From Scratch

With Shawna’s encouragement and expertise, I was able to transform my disjointed scribbling into a compelling read in less than a year.  There were deadlines, writing exercises and regular feedback.

Gwen Field

I have taken a lot of writing classes but working with Shawna has been one of the best experiences. I am constantly coming back to her for help. She is a wonderful teacher and extremely helpful in navigating the process of getting published. She is generous with her time and just generally fun to work with.

Sheila Siegel, PhD

I wasn’t sure how one-on-one coaching would work for me – but it was a literal game changer.  Being held accountable to Shawna and our mutually agreed upon calendar of meetings kept me focused and efficient. Shawna’s coaching style is spot-on; warm, encouraging and also firm and intentional. She’s a true gem!

Trish Cantillon

Shawna is a truly excellent writer, editor, teacher, and coach. Her style is nurturing, laid back, instinctive, and sharp. Since working with Shawna, I’ve had success in multiple publications. I always reach out to her when I need help, and she always delivers.
